Printemps Indien Part III : Flore sauvage et entretenue

Nénuphar (latin : Nymphaea sp)
Bassin au Conservatoire National Botanique de Mascarin / Basin at the Mascarin National Botanic Conservatory

I'm not sure what happened this year because I certainly didn't expected to take a full year to write my reports about Reunion Island…! I experienced this for Yellowstone, but certainly not before the 3rd post and I seem to recall my photo-retouching methods were far more tedious back then. By the way, I recently rearranged my old travel posts to make them prettier, just in case. (Actually the whole blog is concerned by a cosmetic rearrangement).

Yellowstone's den or Life in the Woods Part X (Finale) : Everyone

Shadow of v fingers upon white mud

I have made this joke before. It came to mind spontaneously because I recently rewatched of Skins, from the first to the seventh new-for-me season (Cassie fan through and through, that and Eff smoky eyes). Now that I think of it, with Japan it seemed so tedious to have this live-report going on from august to november… haha little did I know. Anyway, about the 5th. It was our last full day in the park, a big day packed with odds and ends of leftover sight-seeings.

Yellowstone's den or Life in the Woods Part IX : Mammoth Hot Springs

Leafless tree on a terrace of crystallized calcium

Now if we may proceed, brace yourself for the wonderful venue of Mammoth Hot Springs, one of the fabulous spots Earth has to offer — or should I say Moon? Notice how the name sounds right. The immaculate white of its terraces made me think of the “moth” in “Mammoth”. I won't endorse any responsability for any abstraction occuring in my pictures. Neither will I repent for the numerous untaken ones due to photographer spending all her time in, say, the exact place where two local rivers join their courses, one being from Hell and the other from Heaven.

Yellowstone's den or Life in the Woods Part VIII : Lamar Valley et Trout Lake

Panoramic view of Trout Lake

Finally, the current date caught up with those of my trip to Yellowstone. I hereby post august the 3rd on another august the 3rd. My post wasn't ready yet but I had to publish it in this fashion not to be late. I will complete and correct it soon another time when I'm less tired. Our internet box is currently on the loose while I'm about to download a 80mo file (let's redeem our free basegame simpoints 5 years after the purchase), so maybe I could use the extra time to adjust this note.

Yellowstone's den or Life in the Woods Part VII : Nuages de lait et autres variétés

Weird shapes in the clouds
Regardez de plus près : que voyez-vous ? / Look closer: what do you see?

Unfortunately, I just lost the use of my keyboard. Yet depending on your location on the globe, waking up early can lead up to cervidae observation or the capacity to borrow one's computer. Cannot have both, though. However what you CAN have are a morning of geological interest AND an afternoon of hiking in a completely different landscape. It's magical, it's Yellowstone. Today I give you august 2nd, 2013 (the post having been ready for a week minus the texts...) As always there are way too many photographs, I have to apologise since it is mostly targeted to family — they handle these things with the most patience.
