Yellowstone's den or Life in the Woods Part IX : Mammoth Hot Springs

Et alors là, brace yourself pour le lunaire Mammoth Hot Springs, un endroit terrestre absolument fabuleux. Déjà le nom a tout bon. Je n'ai eu de cesse de retrouver le « moth » de « Mammoth » dans l'immaculée blancheur de ses terrasses. Je réfute toute responsabilité concernant l'éventuelle abstraction de mes clichés. Ni du fait que bon nombres d'entre eux ne furent jamais pris car les bains dans l'eau naturellement chauffée d'une jonction entre deux rivières accaparèrent la photographe de longue.
Now if we may proceed, brace yourself for the wonderful venue of Mammoth Hot Springs, one of the fabulous spots Earth has to offer — or should I say Moon? Notice how the name sounds right. The immaculate white of its terraces made me think of the “moth” in “Mammoth”. I won't endorse any responsability for any abstraction occuring in my pictures. Neither will I repent for the numerous untaken ones due to photographer spending all her time in, say, the exact place where two local rivers join their courses, one being from Hell and the other from Heaven.
La veille en arrivant en fin d'aprèm, nous étions pressés de découvrir ce nouvel endroit sur la map. Nous avons donc fait un premier petit tour des lieux car pour la première fois le point d'intérêt de la zone était à deux pas de notre hôtel. Mais le lendemain, nous l'avons refait de façon plus complète. Le circuit est très aménagé, un vrai boardwalk pour ne pas trop se fatiguer.
Upon our arriving at this new staying place the day before in the afternoon, we were eager to discover this new spot on the map. We couldn't wait to get started because for the first time we only had to walk a bit from the hotel to be directly amongst the hot stuff. We went to see a few sightings, but we went back the next day for the full experience. The trail is so easy to walk on it since it's a boardwalk.
